Con molta probabilità si tratta di un gioco di luce, per la precisione si tratterebbe di rifrazione infatti la sequenza dei colori delineata nell'oggetto delle foto in questione è uguale alla sequenza dei colori che si dissociano dalla luce bianca del sole per rifrazione ad esempio in una goccia d'acqua (come avviene nell'arcobaleno) oppure in un prisma triangolare:
