Il 4 Agosto è stato avvistato un ufo sopra i cieli di New York, grande all'incirca quanto un campo di baseball, subito dopo l'oggetto è schizzato a grande velocità verso l'alto per poi scomparire. 30 minuti dopo, lo stesso oggetto volante è stato fotografato sopra Johnson City.

MUFON Assistant State Director and Field Investigator L. Behr filed the report for the witness after the witnesses' photos appeared on the WBNG-TV Web site.

The original sighting occurred when the witness was standing in a parking lot at Lourdes Hospital along Riverside Drive in Binghamton.

"He observed the object over the hill, across the river in what would be Vestal, NY," the MUFON investigator stated. "The object appeared huge at this point, 'as large as a football stadium'. Object was stationary and then shot up and vanished."

But 20 to 30 minutes later, the same witness was driving home along Riverside Drive in Johnson City when the object was seen again, but higher in the sky.

"Witness pulled onto a side street and took two pictures. He observed the object for approximately two minutes before it again shot straight upward and away."

The witness reported that there were additional witnesses in the hospital parking lot, but did not know their identities and that others had posted reports at the television station Web site saying they had seen the object too.

Binghamton is a city in Broome County, NY, population 47,376. Two images were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on August 4, 2011: Image # 1 and Image # 2. The events occurred on August 1, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

New York is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. New York had 14 reports in July 2011 - while California had 54 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

I am filing this report for the witness, with his permission, after our phone interview. I initially contacted witness after his pictures appeared on the WBNG-TV website. L. Behr ASD/FI

Witness was in the parking lot of Lourdes Hospital on Riverside Drive in Binghamton NY. He observed object over the hill, across the river in what would be Vestal NY. The object appeared huge at this point, "as large as a football stadium". Object was stationary and then shot up and vanished.

This upset the witness who called his mother. He then finished his business at the hostial and was on his way home, approximately 20-30 minutes after the initial sighting.

He was traveling on Riverside Drive toward his home in Johnson City when he observed the object again to his right, this time much higher in the sky. Witness pulled onto a side street and took 2 pictures. He observed the object for approximately 2 mintues before it again shot straight upward and away.

Witness stated that there were other people in the hospital parking lot who observed the object but, he did not know who they were. He also stated that people have posted on the WBNG web site that they also saw the object. I will follow up on this.

A me sinceramente non convince tanto e l'evidente perdita di qualità nel riflesso della seconda foto mi sa tanto di ulteriore trasformazione in photoshop.

Non ho capito bene se i media americani ne hanno dato notizia nelle tv nazionali, visto che se l'hanno avvistato in tanti, i media avrebbero dovuto buttarcisi a capofitto...
Qualcuno segue i telegiornali USA????
Se ne parlano solo su internet sara' la solita bufala...

Anche se le immagini sono piccole e di scarsa qualità, la luminosità dell'oggetto mi è parsa sin dal primo momento troppo sfocata, incuriosito scelgo di aprirla con gimp ed all'apertura del file mi appare questa finestra....

....ma come sarebbe a dire "filtro di colore incorporato"?

Ma queste sono le uniche foto circolanti in rete?
Non sono disponibili versioni ad una risoluzione più alta?

Sarà anche la scarsissima risoluzione ma se notate i pixel intorno all'oggetto (quelli più chiari intorno alla figura) potete constatare che essi occupano un'area troppo ampia rispetto all'oggetto stesso.
Non so usare photoshop ma quei pixel attorno all'oggetto mi puzzano di fake....ad occhio e croce potrei anche supporre che potrebbe anche essere che l'oggetto stato "inserito" all'interno di una regolare foto del cielo limpido.
Poi, il tutto potrebbe anche cadere nel caso di alcune foto ad una buona risoluzione.
Per ora, ho qualche dubbio.

Un'ultima domanda: solo a me pare che l'oggetto sia totalmente sfocato rispetto agli alberi?
Capisco il sole, l'oggetto in secondo piano e da quanto si dice anche abbastanza lontano dalla fonte di scatto ma stando a queste foto più di qualcosa non mi quadra.
