A POLICE officer described an UFO he saw hovering over Chelsea football ground as "not like anything" he had seen before.

In the brief report released by the MoD, the policeman described seeing four lights, square to diamond in shape, over Stamford Bridge in South West London.

The mysterious bright yellow lights, also witnessed by the officer's colleague, hovered over the Premier League club's home turf at 8.05pm on March 10, 1999.

The report reveals that the policeman saw the object for ten to 15 seconds as it "moved across the sky fairly quickly, changing shape slowly".

The lights moved from east to west in front of and above the officer, as he stood with his horse near Oswald Stow Mansions.

It was a clear night, but the policeman, from Chesham, Bucks, was unable to determine the size of the object and heard no sound during the bizarre encounter.
