GOES-P Mission
The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-P represents a continuation of the newest generation of environmental satellites built by Boeing for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under the technical guidance and project management of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-P, or GOES-P, is scheduled for launch aboard a Delta IV rocket on Tuesday, March 2, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The one-hour launch window extends from 6:19 to 7:19 p.m. EST.

GOES-P Launch Now No Earlier than March 4
Final prelaunch preparations continue at Launch Complex 37 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, where a Delta IV rocket is set to launch the GOES-P satellite no earlier than March 4. The launch window extends from 6:17 p.m. to 7:17 p.m. EST.
